The Methley plum blooms in early spring with white fragrant flowers. It is a heat tolerant variety. The fruit ripens from early to mid-summer resulting in medium-sized, clingstone, round purple-red plums that have a sweet mild flavor. Perfect for fresh eating or making jelly.
Plant in full sun in well-drained sandy or loamy soil. The Methley plum is self-pollinating, but planting pollinating partners can increase the size of your crops. Average height 20′ and width 20′. Required Chill Hours: 250. USDA hardiness zones 5a – 9b
