The Pink Lady apple tree is not only cold hardy it is heat resistant and will thrive in warmer climates. This tree produces large fruit with a blushing pink crisp skin with a sweet, tart flavor. Its flesh is bright white and resists browning when cut. The Pink Lady apple is great for eating fresh, using in salads, baking and even apple sauce. It also pairs well with cheeses like Swiss and Gorgonzola.

Sunlight: It prefers full sun with at least six hours of direct sunlight daily.

Soil: Well-drained loamy soil with a pH level of 6.0 to 7.0

Water: Water weekly until established. Water established trees deeply as needed. You may need to water more often in times of extreme heat or drought.

The Pink Lady® apple tree is a cross between Lady Williams and Golden Delicious apple trees. It is also known as a Cripps Pink apple tree. This variety is not only cold hardy it is heat resistant and will thrive in warmer climates. Pink Lady® has an incredibly long growing season of 200 days. One of the first to bloom in mid-April and will be harvested late in the season usually November or December. This variety is known for its long storage life when kept in cold storage. Plant in full sun and well-drained soil. The Pink Lady apple is not self-pollinating and will require cross-pollination. You will need to plant another variety to achieve fruit production. Some suggested pollinating partners are Gala, Fuji, Granny Smith and McIntosh. Average height 12′ – 15′ and width 8′ – 10′. Required Chill Hours: 400 – 600. USDA Hardiness Zones 5 – 9.
