The Bartlett pear tree blooms in mid-spring and produces large, sweet, tear drop shaped green-yellow fruit. When harvested green pears are crisp and crunchy, but they become soft and sweet as they turn yellow. Perfect for eating fresh, add to salads and preserving.
Plant in full sun, well-draining soil preferably with southern exposure. The Bartlett pear trees are not drought tolerant and require regular watering. This variety is not self-fruiting and require cross pollination with another variety to achieve fruiting. Average height 12′ – 20′ and width 12′ – 20′. Required Chill Hours: 800.
