Burbank Plum Tree (Prunus salicina ‘Burbank’)

The Burbank plum has a wide spreading canopy and will bloom in early spring with sweetly fragrant white flowers. This tree produces medium to large-sized freestone plums with juicy red flesh and a sweet-tart flavor. The fruit ripens from mid to late summer.  These plums have a rich and sweet flavor making it perfect for eating fresh, canning, or making jelly.

Plant in full sun and well-drained loamy or sandy soil. The Burbank Plum requires cross-pollination. It’s essential to have other plum trees nearby for successful fruit production. Average height 20′ – 25′ and width 15′ – 20′. Required Chill Hours: 400. USDA Hardiness Zones 5 – 9.
