The Golden Delicious apple tree is an extremely heavy producer of fresh-eating apples. It produces a medium to large fruit that is greenish-yellow and turns to a bright yellow color when ripe. Plant in full sun in well-drained loamy soil. The Golden Delicious is partially self-pollinating. You may get fruit with only one tree, but it is strongly suggested to have a pollinating partner. It pairs well for pollination with Gala, Fuji, Red Delicious and Pink Lady. Average height 12′ – 15′ and 12′ – 15′ width. Required Chill Hours 600-700. USDA hardiness zone 4 – 9.
