Red Skin Peach Tree (Prunus persica ‘Red Skin’)

The Red Skin peach blooms in early spring with showy pink flowers and will produce freestone medium firm, juicy and sweet fruit ready to be enjoyed in mid to late summer. An excellent choice for eating fresh, baked, canned or frozen.

Sunlight: Full sun minimum 6 hrs per day.

Soil: Well-drained loamy or sandy soil with a pH level of 6.0 to 6.5.

Water: Water weekly until established. Water established trees deeply as needed.

Fertilizer: Use a balanced fertilizer in the spring.

The Red Skin peach is a descendent of the Red Haven and Elberta peaches. This tree will bloom in early spring with showy pink flowers. The Redskin produces freestone medium to large firm and juicy fruit that is sweet and a little tangy. The fruit ripens from mid-July to August. An excellent choice for eating fresh, baked, canned or frozen.

Plant in full sun in well drained sandy or loamy soil. The Red Skin peach is self-pollinating, but planting pollinating partners can increase the size o your crops. Average height is 10′ – 15′ and width 10′ – 15′. Required Chill Hours: 750. USDA hardiness zones 5 – 8.
